1. Eve and it's effect on sound - in Player Features and Ideas Discussion [original thread]
I haven't bothered, it's a pain in the butt. I wish they would just make it MP3 functional without having to use work arounds.

2. Eve and it's effect on sound - in Player Features and Ideas Discussion [original thread]
Is there any way to stop Eve from distorting the sound on my computer? What I mean is, I often play mp3's in the background while playing Eve, generally with Windows Media Player (submit to their rule). When playing Eve, it seems to often distort ...

3. Remove effects from shield hardeners and various other modules. - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Quote: Um. I have a 3.2ghz p4c, 1gb ddr 400, and a leadtek ti4400. :) Oh my bad, then your system is pretty comparable to mine, other than the video card. I assumed that since your videocard is 2 years old, so is the rest of your system ...

4. Remove effects from shield hardeners and various other modules. - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Quote: Jim, I can run 2 clients (hehe) in a fleet battle (at least 30 ships) at the same time and run them both at 20 fps. I dunno WHAT kind of problems some of you people (the ones with 3ghz p4s) have... and I only have a ti 4400. Ther...

5. Multi-client performance - in Test Server Feedback [original thread]
Edited by: Layne Taro on 02/03/2004 18:23:49 I started Eve right after they added the option to download and generate an account over the internet. In early January, after I conned half a dozen friends into starting the game and we formed a co...

6. Remove effects from shield hardeners and various other modules. - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Yeah, I have always found it kind of silly how completely UN-optimizable Eve's graphics are. You can pick color depth, planet detail, resolution, and maybe one or two other minor things. Most games give you way more options than that, and in a MMO...

8. typo in patch notes, RE: armor tanking? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
I figured it had to be a typo. What they were trying to say is "Damage leaking through armor has been altered so the hull does not start sustaining damage until armor has been depleted by 75%" or something like that. I hope. Otherwise that's retar...

9. We need dedicated mining ships. - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
To answer the previous poster, there would be entry level frigates that could be used for miners and relatively cheap. Otherwise known as Bantams/insert racial ship here. And I don't think that regular combat ships should be barred from mounting ...

10. We need dedicated mining ships. - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
I whole heartedly agree that there should be ships specifically for mining. I don't agree that it should be balanced out with CPU though. My preference would be creating a new type of hardpoint, that way you don't have to mess around with balancin...
